FULLY SUPPORTED CYCLING CHALLENGES

Quebrantahuesos - 23rd June 2012

We pick you up from Toulouse on Thursday 21st and head to our base in the Ariege to check your equipment and give you an opportunity to practise on some of the local cols. The following morning we travel to Spain, where we register for the event and continue to warm up. The Quebrantahuesos takes place on Saturday and it will be an early start. The field is capped at around 10,000 riders, and entry formalities are very stringent, so we need to know in good time if you are interested in taking part. This is one of the premier European events and is always vastly oversubscribed. When you stand at the starting line, there are riders as far as the eye can see, and they don't send you off separately in small groups, like they do in some other countries. The atmosphere is electric, the camaraderie is amazing, and once you've ridden it, you'll be hooked!

Ariegeoise - 30th June 2012

We take you to Tarascon in the morning, where the Ariegeoise begins. This is a full day's cycling, the course varies from year to year, but there should be a finish on the Plateau de Beille, which is certainly a challenge when you've already cycled more than 150 km. The Plateau de Beille has been a stage finish on the Tour de France on five occasions, including 2004 when Lance Armstrong beat Ivan Basso to the line. Afterwards we'll take you back to the hotel, where you'll pack up your belongings and get ready to leave for the airport in the morning. Then we'll head off for dinner - a great opportunity to celebrate and relive the experience!
