Included in the Tour de France 66 times, the Col d'Aspin is the little brother of the Tourmalet. We ride from East to West, the more difficult direction. Not a particularly challenging climb, with gradients of 5-6.5% until you get to about 4.5 km from the top, where it suddenly achieves10% for a while before settling down again. You climb 780 metres over the length of the ride, average gradient 6.5%, maximum 8% . Watch out for cattle, sheep and goats, which are frequently to be found as you get towards the top.
